Hallo,
I started 80, 10, 10 diet last saturday.
I had 60 pounds of strawberries since then.
And now i need to pee every 1-2 hours and the amounts
are too small.
IT MUST BE SOME ILLNESS. I ve been raw 10 weeks before
and my kalories came 2/3 from fat and protein.
I know that there are enough people out there that can eat
10 pounds of 90% watercontent fruit a day and they dont have that problem.
There must be something wrong. I am pretty sure i can eat bananas of which i only need to eat 1600 g of edible portion for 1600 kcal.
Maybe i should try it. But even if its working, i cant just eat bananas and there are few possibilities to get these high kcal fruit.
:(

OK a few things to note:
When you are eating water rich foods, you should not be craving or drinking as much water as you are sufficiently hydrated. Check how much water you're drinking as well.
You were eating high fat and higher protein so it is possible you were dehydrated a little before
Actually it is QUITE COMMON to have to pee that often. I always do generally 30 min to an hour of having water rich fruits. This does not happen with bananas.
Just because you change your eating styles and notice your body reacting differently, does not mean it is a negative thing. You have to check it out for yourself.
Also if you have 80/10/10 questions you could direct them to the 80/10/10 forum at 30bananasaday.com for reassurance at what is "normal" on that diet.
Do not panic, or jump to negative conclusions. Do a little trial and error and research and find out what is normal for you.

I've noticed that the last two days I have had a huge raw salad for lunch and within 30 minutes of eating that I have to pee all afternoon. I was fine in the morning even after my liquid green smoothies.

i was on 80 10 10 a year ago and the same thing happened. I ignored it and it got worse. 2 weeks or so i couldnt sleep more then 3 hours, i couldnt hold it.
The problem is that the amount is to small. Peeing 100ml or 200ml is not normal.
Maybe its because so much water goes through my system that i cant handle it, i cant hold it long enough. But i am still thirsty, i drank
3 liters water, 10 pounds of strawberrys thats 7,5 liters water content. If u drank so much water, u would get in trouble.

I'm just not getting why the bladder isn't filling up though?
I don't understand how eating a lot of fruit would have that effect - maybe an allergic reaction to the strawberries?
I need to understand the mechanism here!

another tidbit:
Increase frequency/decreased volume is also a sign of bladder infection......
mango - how long did it go on last time?
Maybe you are just flushing out a low level bladder infection?

there must be a reason your body needs that much water if you're saying you're thirsty. I wouldn't doubt that your body is trying to cleanse, or get rid of fat or salt that your body is holding on to.
I have never in my entire life drank 3 litres of water in a day. When i'm on 80/10/10 i am only really thirsty after eating a few bananas or some mango. But I only have a few small glasses of water a day, compared to when i was SAD i felt so thirsty i'd be drinking a glass of water every hour or two.
Personally I have to pee every hour or two, and occaisionally i'll wake up in the middle of the night if i had a lot of water before bed.
I don't think anyone would be able to tell you if there is something wrong with your bladder or it's just adjusting and see what works for you.
