Do you know of any dvds or books or online resources with ab workout, that don't involve neck or putting your full weight on wrists- I found some rap style, but they are just not my style. Anything simple?
I made myself a short list of such a exercises, but would love to find more.:)

Thank you, spicyful, that is the dvd I have. Sorry, I called hip hop a rap. Rawdanceruk, I will check this one out. I did find some non crunch moves in Squeeze workout dvd(also recommended by someone on this board), actually not even one move in there is traditional crunch, although some are still hard on the neck.

during your favorite show, sit on the floor with a medicine ball. Sitting indian-style, place the medicine ball behind your back twisting to the left. Then turn to the right and grab it and twist back to the left and once again place behind your back. Keep doing this alternating directions.
lay on floor, bring torso up supported by forearms. Bring legs up and do the scissors, or bicycle kick, for 10 minutes.

I should add you can substitute something heavy 4 the medicine ball, like a gallon of water (with a tight lid, fyi)

Pilates roll ups are wonderful. They strengthen the internal abs which works the rest. Search pilates roll ups & you'll see several sites..maybe a you-tube which will be better. If you have weak muscles, it will be very challenging in the beginning, just don't give up. You may need to brace your feet against the wall, couch or have someone hold your toes down. Over time your feet will come off the floor less as the muscles strengthen until they don't come up at all.!!1

The abs without crunches or crunchless abs, whatever it's called has gotten horrid reviews. In fact, they DO sell the initial DVD for like $9.99 (usd), but then ppl have been billed the next month and get another set of DVDs and have had trouble when trying to contact the company.
I like working out on the ball, pilates, and kettle bells workouts...

Doing normal warm up exercise or skipping is good for your ab workout.I have seen many videos about ab-workout on internet.Try from there, they put variety of exersices for ab.
Try to avoid too much fast-food and be active to be in good physical shape...

If you're into weightlifting, then do more compound movement that work multiple muscle groups simultaneously (Dead Lifts, planks, pushups etc.). Also try balancing on a Bosu ball(you tube it). Works the entire core.
