The health store my brother works in have started to stock it. He told me about it and I was skeptical of it as the shop is big into animal proteins too but, this is suitable for vegans and vegetarians and I researched supermeal RX and I can't find anything negative about it on the internet. I don't know anyone who has taken it so has anyone here tried it it is made up of brown rice protein and includes spirulina and chlorella and maca and loads of stuff. Any one know anything about it? You can check out the link if you have not heard of it.

Cheers

You really don't need protein supplements, you can get more than enough protein from fruits, vegetables and nuts. Protein powders are refined and devoid of nutrition much like white sugar. At least that one had added superfoods to add some nutritional value but it's still unneccesary. If you really want a supplement I'd recommend a whole food supplement like chlorella or spirulina powder rather than refined products.

BTW I've gained 40 lbs on a 75% raw diet by working out after loosing 40 lbs when initially going raw and take no protein supplements whatsoever.

Hey raweater, thanks for ur reply. Yeah I agree that you don't need a protein supplement on a raw diet but I was just thinking that it sounds pretty healthy and full of goodness I think, I probably won't be taking it unless I was looking for something to sustain me all day but I am aware fruit and vegetables do that too:).

I do take chlorella with my green smoothie and I use to take spirulina, I think I prefared the taste of spirulina but chlorella looks mighty great.

Is it raw? Doesn't seem so from what I've read.

I don't know, I don't think it is, but I don't eat all raw. I was just thinking of vega protein which I think is raw and thought I'd post about this one just because people on this board are health conscious. I guess I probably shouldn't have posted about it as it's likely it's not raw.

Yeah, actually..
