Was curious, as this seems like an easy way of presenting raw treats like small desserts. Will raw desserts or mini-savory tarts stick to them? I've read conflicting reviews on Amazon, but it seems that most of the people were doing cooked cupcakes though. My husband and I don't like big servings of desserts in general(even before raw) and he was thinking that maybe silicone cups might work. I've looked at mini-cupcake pans, but don't want any more pans as I keep my kitchen fairly lean except for the good stuff.

i'm not sure, to be honest. when i read your post, i thought "what about using ramekins?" you know, like the ones they use for making creme brulee? i know that they come in various sizes, so you can get small, individual serving sized ones and they look very nice & would be wonderful for raw desserts. easy cleanup, too! :) here's a link to some on amazon (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=ramekin&x=0&y=0).
edit: ohhhhh i see what you meant. LOL like the LITTLE tiny ones. sorry! i had a blonde moment. XD

I bought one last weekend...a mini "muffin" silicon pan to make almond dream bars and other raw chocolate things....worked awesome! Will be getting another. They pop right out, perfectly formed.

Hi Glimr!
Thanks for the info! Were they really non-stick or do you have to apply coconut oil or something to them in order for the goodies to pop right out?

Hi cara~
I didn't apply anything but the recipe I used had coconut oil in it and they popped right out after ten minutes in the freezer.

Wow - that pan looks cool! Easier to deal with than the fluted cups I was looking at, although I love the way the fluted ones look!

I thought the fluted ones would be harder to clean...but they are cool.

I bought a metal mini muffin mold to make mini cupcakes. I thought it would be too hard trying to form a rather stiff dough in soft silicone molds, plus with the metal ones I got 24 molds for like $8 I think, I believe the silicone ones cost much more.

i've seen videos where matt monarch and angela stokes-monarch use them and they work like a dream.
i'm hoping to get a set of tiny ones myself some day.

Silicone molds are so much easier to pop out than metal ones. I got both types and prefer my silicone ones. Plus, they're easier to clean and store.

They may be easier to pop out but aren't they harder to mold a hard dough that doesn't require dehydrating?
The raw cupcakes I made pop out of the metal ones easily too.
