My uncle had one kidney removed a few years ago due to cancer and was doing great but he now has a spot on his other kidney. The doctor says if it spreads to his liver he'll have about 6 months to live.

I think he would be receptive to hearing about raw foods but I've only been raw for 2 months and I'm still learning. I'm going to see him on Saturday and would like to be prepared with lots of great information to share with him, including testimonies of people who have cured themselves of kidney cancer using raw foods. I plan on sharing "Green For Life" & "12 Steps to Raw Foods" with him and would love your advice on where else I should go to find the right kind of information and testimonies to share with him.

It's such a dark reality he has to face. I was under the impression he was eating well and taking care of himself but I know he has a lot of stress with work and family issues.

Even though I know so little, I feel as though I know a lot and feel like it would be irresponsible if I did not offer the information. Any advice you can share on this matter would be extremely helpful and so appreciated.

Have you ever seen "Eating" by the Rave Diet, or "Reversing the Irreversable" by Valya Boutenko?

So far no one has been receptive with the books I've tried to share, like Green For Life and 12 Steps to raw food. I think if you can get someone to agree to sit back and watch something it might be a little bit easier. I know testimonials of people that had cancer might be beneficial for him. You can also buy "Healing Cancer from the Inside Out" by Mike Anderson.

Any of those would be an easy way to let him in on the simplicity of change your diet, change your health.

The Beautiful Truth is a DVD that talks about naturally healing cancer (mostly using the Gerson Institute methods). It's available through Netflix, so you might find it other places, too, like Blockbuster. If you Google it, you might find it, also.
There's enough references to things like raw foods that I would find it helpful to open the conversation, anyway.

The best book on cancer that I know of is "Cancer, a Second Opinion" by Dr. Josef Issels, who cured incurables at his clinic in Bavaria. Dr. Issels believed in curing cancer not by attacking the tumor but by cleaning up the toxic milieu that it feeds on. He insisted on complete oral revision. All dead teeth and infected tonsils are toxic and must be removed. Jaw cavitations must be surgically cleaned out. No degree of dietary reform will help while there are focal infections feeding the tumor.

My dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Thurman 4 cancer 2 years ago,
June 14th. It started in his kidney and had spread to his lungs, spine, had eaten away 4 of his ribs, his spinal column looked like a huge snake was wrapped around it and eating away his vertebrate. Part of his spine was even severed, and the doctors could not believe this man was walking around. He worked on heating and air conditioners, crawling in areas that most of us couldn't get into. Riding motorcycles, and having a great time. He was 59 when they found his cancer, my mom was also working full time. The day we found out their whole world stopped. They had to go through several surgeries, redo his spine and put titanium rods in place of his vertebrate, it was a 13 hour surgery, they also removed his kidney which was where the cancer first came from. They only gave him about 5 months to live.
They did no chemo or radiation. That was over 2 years ago, and he his still here, and doing rather well. Now if you are wondering about his wonderful diet that helped heal him, it won't be a pretty story. He eats the SAD, and has a huge candy bowl that sits on the table in the living room, plus candy dishes all around the kitchen. He craves desserts, and my mom gives in to him. I think she thinks that when she gives him these things, she is showing she loves him. It's kind of like when the grandkids go over to visit, grandparents always wants to feed them candy or junk, it makes them feel special. I've finally at least got my mom doing smoothies for him, and juicing for herself. He won't touch the veggie juices. She is fixing more veggies, and cutting back on the processed foods. But he is so set in his ways that there is no convincing him to try any other way. He always kids with me and says "Don't you know eating that healthy stuff is going to kill ya"
The doctors are still amazed that he is still here, and the last CT and Bone Scan showed not much change in the tumors and cancer that was still left in his body. We wonder why the cancer has not grown in 2 years, and that he has not done any treatments including diet. I am a believer and I know that God knows the reason he is still here, and we are thankful to have my daddy around.
I pray that your Uncle gets the help and answers that he needs.
Blessings,
Cathy

Fasting is usually contraindicated in cancer.

Fasting is usually contraindicated in cancer.

theres thousands of people that would disagree with that statement and that treat cancers with green juice fasts to alkalize the blood and flush out damaged cells / toxins

At first, Dr. Max Gerson discovered that his patients die on juice fast alone. Their bodies are so toxic that the amount released into the blood stream during a fast would kill them. He later added coffee enemas to his cancer therapy to ensure toxins are flushed out from the bloodstream faster. At that point, his therapy became very successful.

The Gerson therapy calls for massive intake of juices, thoughout the day. Saturation of the body with nutrients. I would hardly call it "fasting."

Wow, you're all so wonderful. Thank you so much for ALL of these great suggestions. I'm definitely going to look into all of these books, links and dvds. This is very helpful.

This poor guy is not having a very good month. Yesterday his boss told him, after 27 years with the company, that she no longer sees a need for his position and let him go. Just like that. Done. He's never been written up for anything and has practically been the backbone of the company. I'm sure it's a sign from the Universe saying it's time to take a break and rest and it will work out for the best.

Thank you again.

P.S. Cathy, your fathers story is amazing. What a miracle he is.

The girl from 'Crazy Sexy Cancer' is raw and although she still has liver cancer, it's not getting worse, she's been coasting along for a couple of years now. Ruth Heidrich is another one who has cancer, but it maintaining health for many years now through a raw diet....she eats a low fat version, while Kris Carr (CSC) eats low carb raw.

"Dying to Have Known" also has a lot of good info on the way to beat cancer with raw food. I've been meaning about buying "Reversing" so thanks for reminding me.
