I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I wanted to ask if anyone knows where to find (if anywhere) fresh durian and young coconuts in New York. I am going to NY on Thursday and was hoping to get a few things I haven't been able to find in my area.
Thanks everyone! :)

Hi there! I picked up a Durian at the New Lou Cheng Market Inc in Chinatown (it's just south of the Manhattan bridge). They will even cut it open for you. Mine was about 10 dollars, but there's a lot of meat inside of it.
Young coconuts are easier to find. I found a stand that opens it for you and gives you a straw. Chinatown is some kind of place!

Awesome as I think we were planning to go to Chinatown too! Buutttt 10 dollars!? agh. I guess you do get a lot though. Has anyone heard of anywhere they might be cheaper??
Ohh I am so glad young coconuts are easier to find! Do you know an approximate price? Where do you find them, Chinatown as well?
thanks so much! :)
I got a container of it at Bonobo's the last time I was in NYC. My husband was less than thilled about the durian, for sure! It was maybe $2-3 for a small bowl, and they had the whole durian there.
I don't know about young coconuts as I don't live in the city. But I'd check for Asian markets.
