If I do not watch what I eat I will still gain weight on raw food, why? particularly when I am running. Started back running training for half marathon and I am gaining a few pounds a week why? My diet where I loose is
banana or oj or necterine
run 8 miles or so
fresh OJ mornings or green smoothie
large green salad home made dressing
Oj or nut milk or smoothie
If I snack at all in between this I will gain weight
I have five raw kids, they make pies and stuff all raw. Have any!!!!! gain weight. I had my thyroid removed. I am down 40 pounds 40 to go. I do not want to gain weight. I am nursing, still gain, no gain is what I want.

Some quick questions:
How are you controlling your hypothyroidism? Certainly without a thyroid your metabolism would be low. Are you taking synthroid? Have you had your blood tested lately to check dosage?
It doesn't look like your eating all that much. Have you tried plugging your calories into Fitday to check to see that you are getting adequate calories. Too few calories can make a slow metabolism even slower if your body thinks its starving.
There is also the possibility that your building muscle from training. Muscle weighs more than fat. Do your clothes feel looser? This may be a better way to measure than the bathroom scale.

Absolutely I take synthroid. I am on a very low dosage due to my diet I feel. I take 1.25mg, my cbc is great, the t4 is great all my labs are great. But I am realizing as we speak I did not even remeber the last time I took my thyroid pill that could be part of the problem.:D No my clothes are getting looser and looser. That is why I could not understand the weight gain.:(
those are a lot of calories let me guestimate the amount.
I count about 1500-1800 calories, I know it is forgeting to take my synthroid. I am going to find the meds and take them. I am so happy you mentioned this, I have forgotten to take this for the last 5-6 days where my weight shot up. THANK YOU SO MUCH off to take my meds.
banana 90 calories/necterine 50
32oz of smoothie about 600-900 calories
salad 300 calories
32 oz nut milk 600-900 or another green smoothie300-500
