My name is Shani and I am finally ready to become a raw foodie.

I've been struggling with PCOS and it has been getting worse as time goes on. I don't want to be loading with medicines and I don't want to develop diabetes.

Yesterday I started on my joruney to becoming completely raw. I'm planning on making a slow transition as to not shock my body to much. My goal for this week is to have all raw lunches at work. And the week after that to have a raw breakfast and lunch. Then to go a few days completely raw until I go fully raw.

I know it's going to be hard and I'm going to run into people who think I'm insane, but that's okay. Because my health is more important that what they have to say.

Welcome to the Healthy Side of Life. I too have recently gone raw. With all the great summer fruits in season it won't seem so strange to others if you are eating fruits, salads and fresh veggies at work. If some gives you a funny look, just remark "Aren't the fruits great this year"? It is alittle hard the first couple of weeks. Yesterday I eat all kinds of none raw things, just 'cause I felt I was missing out. You know what, I really did feel all that great last night, and this morning I didn't have that bright morning feeling. Hang in there it will be worth it.
