Hi everyone, my name is Angela.
I have been a vegan for about 6 months now. I have learned a lot from the internet over the past few months about raw food benefits ect. It all started when I looked in the mirror one day and was completely disgusted with what I saw. A little here a little there... a little TOO much everywhere. Now I'm not saying I was morbidly obese or anything, but I was 15 lbs over what I wanted. In fact I couldn't believe I didn't notice I put this weight on. Another thing I didn't "notice" was how badly I was treating my body. I would probably eat any type of food that was put in front of me. And I would eat it until it was allll gone. Bad idea. Anyway, I cut out all meat of any kind for 1 month.. and when that month went by ... I never wanted it again! (Thank GOD) ((big help)) I started to do research on what other people who were vegan were eating. Tried all sorts of raw foods that I probably wouldn't even give a glance at before. They're all so excellant! Honestly, for anybody else who is new here, or new to the raw food diet, it works, and you will feel like you're as young as you'll ever be. I will be 21 in 5 days... and 7 months ago I felt like I was 80... and I was only 15 lbs overweight! Now I feel like I should, and the more new, natural foods I try, the better I feel. Motivation is key... When everyone around you is eating whatever they want and you keep yourself motivated to continue eating what YOU want... once you get through that moment of "craving" something unatural and fill it with something from the earth, you truly will have practically an unlimited source of self motivation! I can't wait to meet some great new people who share the same interests as I do.
Good Luck everyone! I'm proud to be apart of the raw food diet, and the Raw Food Talk forum.
