Today I made my first official raw food dish. I made spaghetti out of a zucchini and the most wonderful sauce with tomato, basil and sun-dried tomatoes. I feel so good about it because it is something I can make in under 10 minutes and OMG was it good, it was like eating a LIVE spaghetti dinner. Now I know I can eat and live this way forever. I am feeling so good, my back pain is almost gone in under 3 weeks on this diet (going on and on for 2 years now). I think alot of my back pain was coming from overeating on a SAD. Now I get satified without that full feeling. I did notice I need to eat more often maybe every 2-3 hours to combat any cravings and it doesn't take much like a plum or two, a few dates or a banana or an apple.
This Is Pretty Cool.............................................. .. that's all I got to say!;)

B-banana, pear, pineapple, blueberry, celery, kale and date smoothie

L-green salad, pear, yellow squash, cucumbers, avocado olive oil and ACV and a slash of agave, salt.

S-2 plums and some sprouted almonds (skin removed) (our version of peel and eat shrimp) :D

D-zucchini spaghetti with tomato basil sauce sprinkled with parsley and nutritional yeast, man was it good and I have that fresh garlic taste in my mouth:cool:

S-chocolate tapioca pudding

S-the tapioca pudding gave me an idea on making some chocolate milk with cashews and it is real good.

We are running VERY low on groceries but I still managed to get through today and made myself lunch for tomorrow (I made a soup out of fresh greens I found in the backyard of where I am staying: some kind of yummy green -not sure what it is, dandelion leaves, green onion, chives, clover, and some tomatoes I had from the store). Supper tomorrow will be with the inlaws for Father's Day and I will be bringing my own food for myself and my son...we shall see how that goes....;)

I was busy yesterday cleaning and making the raw pizza and a raw apple pie. As I so often do, I didn't completely read the instructions for the raw pizza. I thought the whole thing would be done in six hours but later realized that after I top it then I needed to dehydrate it for six hours AFTER the initial 4 hours to firm up the crust. Needless to say I had to stop the dehydrator before I went to bed and finish it up this morning. But I had a couple of slices this morning and it was really good. I made Alissa's easiest crust from ground flax because I didn't sprout any grains. I'll have to think ahead and try the other crusts some time. Her easiest crust already had onions as one of the ingredients. However, I forgot to put spinach on as a topping :( I did chop up a little bit of onion for the top along with chopped up red and yellow bell peppers and chopped baby portobella mushrooms. All of this was layered on top of Alissa's marinara sauce but I only made one third the recipe because I don't like a ton of sauce on my pizza. I also skipped the creamy cheddar cheese recipe she lists because I would have to special order the macadamia nuts and they are just so darn expensive.

I put the rest of the slices of pizza separated back into the dehydrator because I thought the crust was still too soft for my taste. So I am going to let it go for a couple more hours. Next time I make it I am going to load on more toppings because I was a bit conservative with them this time. I have to remember how much they shrink down as they dehydrate. I bet some nutritional yeast sprinkled on top would help to get that cheesy taste without having to mess with the macadamia nut recipe. I wouldn't have thought of it until I saw Redrocket's post where she put nutritional yeast on top of her zucchini spaghetti. That is what I love about this forum, I get such great ideas from everyone else's posts.

20 oz smoothie with water, pineapple and beet greens
gala apple
Kale salad with chopped tomatoes, chopped orange bell pepper, avocado, salt, pepper, alfalfa and garlic chive sprouts
banana
corn “chips”, “taco meat”, Alissa’s “sour cream”
banana ice cream with Alissa’s carob fudge sauce
36 oz water total

CV,
That's how we learn by trying different recipes and tweak them until they are spot on. Pizza is a tough one (I think) and will try that one later on. I am waiting for a few raw food books I ordered on Amazon and am looking forward to whipping up some recipes of some great meals I recently ate at the local Organic Cafe. I want to so badly make lasagna next. Oh and by the way I'm a man;) My name Redrocket comes from my avatar from a motorcycle site because my motorcycle is a red Triumph Rocket III, My clients can't figure me out, I'm a strange egg..........to them I am this calming and relaxing massage therapist (for 18 years now) and ride motorcycles and like to shoot guns (at targets of course, I'm not a killer) :D So now you all know everything about me:eek:

Mint
Carob
Raspberries
Orange
Coconut oil

Other Amazing Food:
Island Fire with MMS
Marine Phytoplankton
Fresh Orange Juice
Watercress, Avocado, Tomato, Onion Salad
Green Apple
Chocolate Lara Bar
Lots of Yummy Food at Bliss Raw Cafe

I notice after eating lara bars I start to feel a little sad. I think they bring me downscale a little so I am going to stop eating them. I am noticing since I started my green smoothie experiment a heightened sensitivity. I am awakening to things in my life I desire to upgrade.
