I love the way the info is presented in this book. It is clearly thought out and presented in an informative and useful way. The recipes produce food that is delicious!

However, I am less than enchanted with the way the recipe section is laid out. I don't like the way you have to turn the page to continue so many of the recipes. No, I've never edited a recipe book, but I sure own a lot of them that don't do this on even one recipe, so I think it could have been done on this one. I don't prepare food in an empty house, and it is especially aggravating to be distracted and have to turn the page back to refer to an earlier part of the recipe.

Anybody else feel like this, or am I out of line?

love the book, but I feel the same way.

I've noticed that about many recipe books, and I do agree with you that it isn't very convenient. Also, someone here had their book rebound in spiral format, which would be much nicer to lay flat on the counter when you're preparing something.

I believe Alissa self-published, and I think sometimes you're limited in formatting when you go with a self-publisher. Of course, I have no way of knowing but just offering a possible reason. :)

I do agree with this, I saw one recipe where the title was on one page and the recipe was on the next. Hopefully all this will get fixed in the next edition. I just got the book from interlibrary loan though and have to say that I LOVE it. I hope to save up for a copy. I believe it will be one that I would loan out a lot as the info is so clear and easy to understand. The before and after stores are great.
