I am not usually a writer but wanted to share about raw foods with my local food co-op. They want a source for the sentence I wrote about how raw foods has been documented to cure cancer, diabetes, etc.
I don't have a particular one in mind...can anyone share something that would be good? Thanks!

Although not 100% raw - George Malkmus in his book on the Hallelujah Diet has some info on that and a testimonial from someone who had mellanoma.
HD is 80% raw and uses lots of juices.
Victoria B. mentions cancer & diabetes in her books. Her son at age 9 was cured of diabetes and is the reason the family went raw.

Ann Wigmore cured herself from cancer in the 80's.. You might also look into Dr Max Gerson, who cured all types of cancers, TB, diabetes, etc back in the 1920's & 30's... He has a book that documented 50 cases of people cured from their diseases.. you could probably get all these books from the library or amazon. :) there's also chidiet.com, which has a plethora of ann wigmore's stuff..
hope that helps. :)
oh, while not raw, there's a book called your life in your hands by jane a plant. she uses a vegan diet and cured herself (and others) of cancer. she had breast cancer 5 times & was basically on her death bed, with stage 4 cancer, she decided that medical doctors weren't helping or treating her cancer, so she started figuring out stuff on her own. she read the china study and did her own research. she's a scientist.. so she's got all kinds of charts and graphs and scientific information in her books, as well as a list of all sorts of vegetables she ate and what happened to people she was helping when they ate raw yogurts and stuff like that, since the "doctor" said it was so good for them. she had one of her boobs removed and tells a funny story about how she left her fake boob at the dr's office one time.. LOL anyway, it's got some scientific stuff in it as well..
if you're into watching stuff, you can rent the beautiful truth from netflix, as well as the gerson miracle, crazy sexy cancer and there's all kinds of documentaries about stuff that goes in our food, and how a lot of it is carcinogenic. the privileged planet, bad seed: the truth about our food, fed up!, the future of food, one man one cow one planet (i requested it from netflix, since they don't have it, yet, so hopefully they'll get it soon!) etc.
