I'm planning to buy a 3 cup food processor. I haven't used a FP before and this will be my first food processor. I already have a Vitamix 5200, which I thought I could also use for FP purposes. But while trying to grind walnuts for pie crust, I realized that it doesn't do a good job in such cases. Hence I'm out to buy a real FP. I have narrowed down to two models, both from Cuisinart. One is "Cuisinart DFP-3 Handy Prep 3-Cup Food Processor" ($60 on Amazon). The other is "Cuisinart DLC-2 Mini Prep Plus Food Processor" ($40 on Amazon).
Both are 3 cup FPs but seem to be different in price. I'm not understanding the difference in features. Obviously the $60 one will have better/more features. Does anyone here have experience with either or both of these FPs? What are the differences? Which one will be a better buy?
I'm planning to order one by tomorrow, so the sooner I hear your opinions, the better :) Thanks!
