homemade tahini......very bitter.....

I had organic, shelled sesame seeds, just whipped it up a wee bit, inbetween tahini and chopped sesame seeds it was - it was very bitter, made my zuchini humus bitter too.....

Was it just this batch of seeds?

I don't recall tahini tasting so bitter....

It is very hard to tell. Have you made the humus before and was it different.

What did you add to it. I use lemon Juice, garlic and cumin. I think that it tastes fine.
