Someone asked for my recipe so I'll just post it here in case others would like to know also.
I've modified this recipe I found years ago and adapted to what my hair likes.

partA:
4 cups purified water
a squeeze of honey (optional)
partB:
3 Tbsp BTMS Emulsifier
3 Tbsp coconut oil
partC:
1 tsp Germall Plus Liquid
Pop parts A and B into the microwave for 6 mins. Pour part B into partA and while blending with stick blender until well mixed. Blend occasionally until cool. Add part C when cool and pour in a clean bottle.
Batch lasts me about 2 weeks on my very long hair. Using conditioner only washing over the past 4 years have made all the difference to my hair.
OCM is made by mixing these in a bottle and shake:
1 part Cromollient SCE (emulsifier)
9 parts sunflower oil
The emulsifier makes the oil rinse clean with water. I use OCM to remove makeup or sunscreen on days when I wear those. Most days I don't wear anything, so I just rinse my face with water at nights before bed.
My oily skin and acne problems went away once I use OCM instead of soap or cleansers on my face. Without drying my skin, it produced less oils over time and balanced out nicely.
