You suggested using fresh papaya as an alternative to glycolic acid and it's been the best alternative ever.

I started using it right away, twice a day, and my skin looked different immediately. After a few days of this, my skin started to get that glow. I started experimenting with other fruit and found that kiwi is wonderful but much stronger. Good for a once a week deep clean.

I noticed that using papaya every day began to make my pores appear larger than usual so I tried pineapple juice and that worked amazing as well and seemed to help. Strawberry is also nice but I would say the pineapple and papaya are my favorite. My skin is softer and smoother than ever. Way better than it ever was using glycolic acid and so much healthier.

This has been the best experiment! Thank you So Much!!! This is really big for me. You have no idea.

Between this, cutting out nightshades, using Jeff's Best Hemp oil and taking zinc and digestive enzymes everyday, my skin is finally clear and glowing!

A GREAT BIG, GIANT HUG FOR YOU!!!! :)

Was this a treatment for acne, dry skin, etc? I am interested to know more.

My original post was about wanting that raw food glow. I was having all kinds of skin issues, blotchy, redness, acne, dryness, skin cells building up and lackluster appearance.

I had been using an acne treatment product made mostly of glycolic acid that helped keep my skin clear but it was slowly drying out my skin. I really wanted a natural alternative and that's when Springtime mentioned using papaya as a mask.

When I went to India to a yoga center, they had a massage therapy area where the women would give us facials with blended papaya all over our faces. It definitely improved our skin. They also would put slices of cucumber on our faces as well... cucumber is good around the eyes, especially.

Yes, cucumber is also another good mask for clearing dead skin cells and reducing pore size too.

I ate the papaya first :), left a little bit behind, mashed it up and put it in a container with a lid and rubbed in about a teaspoon, all over my face after cleansing. Left it on for 10 minutes, rinsed it off, toned and moisturized. Put the rest in the fridge for next time. Same goes for the kiwi.

I buy fresh pineapple that are pre cut and I just pour the juice from the bottom of the package into a small storage container and pour the same amount, about a teaspoon, into my hand and rub it all over my face. After 10 min. rinse. The pineapple juice is nice because it's not as messy as the others.

Oh good. I hope it works as well for everyone. I'm just amazed at the difference it made in the overall texture of my skin.
