I make a lot of juice with carrots, 1 large beet, several stalks of celery,
and 1 cucumber.

This morning I used enough of those veggies to make 1 quart of juice. Well I ended up drinking the whole quart in one sitting, which I usually do. It takes about 15-20 min if I "chew" my juice.

I read somewhere today that your body can only take in 8 oz of fresh juice per sitting, and consume the nutrients from that 8 oz. They said to wait a hour before consuming more, then drink another 8 oz.

Does anyone go by that rule, or is it fine to drink the whole quart at one sitting? I wait about an hour after I drink this before eating or drinking anything else.

Thank you,
Cathy

Thanks Aleesha, I just didn't want to "waste" all those good nutrients if my body was going to only absorb 8 oz ;)

I loved drinking the quart, and stayed full for several hours.
I got a "buzz" off of it this morning, and my husband even told me I couldn't drive to church :D
I love how it makes me feel, and knowing that all those wonderful live enzymes and nutrients are feeding my body.

This morning was the biggest volume I've consumed at one time. I think I used 11 carrots, 6 stalks of celery with some of the greens, 1 very large beet, and one whole cucumber.
