Pick up Norman Walker's book on Juicing. All the info is there ~ or, cruise the juicing section of this forum. There really are no "do's and don'ts". Just start juicing! Play with your food. :)

Do have fun.
If you want to get serious try to remember that it is better to juice veg than fruit.
The sugar content of fruit is so high that it helps to have the fiber as well to offset it. You do not have that problem veg.

Also remember that you can juice things that you may not want to eat. If you pick a carrot to juice then juice the carrot greens as well. If you are having a watermelon then juice the skin.

Really? I didn't know you could juice the skin of a watermelon. I have a huge melon that we were planning to juice later. I will try the skin too and see how it turns out!

i soooooooooo disagree. i looooooooooove juicing fruit. i lived on fruit alone for 12 weeks during my fast and loved every moment... so no disrespect... but not juicing fruit is like telling someone not to eat it cause the sugar content is higher than greens. ;)
what kind of juicer did you get? be sure to juice the watermelon rind as well!

I agree - I love, love love fresh fruit juice! I like the fruit, veggie mixes too - but I love fruit juice. I am actually craving some right now! :D:D

If you don't have any particular kind of juice drink in mind sometimes it's just fun to grab whatever you have on hand and throw it into the juicer and play with it until you have a juice drink that you like - drink up and enjoy!!!

I JUICED YAYYyyyyyy
watermelon & its very filling & thicker than i would have thought. I had fun too
made a mess @ first but had fun :)
I got the affordable hamiliton beach @ Walmart. There is not a wide range of juicers there either I was surprised, out of the better ones it was between this one & the JUICEMAN. I decided that I will have to research it first before i start going over hundred dollars for a juicer. A friend of mine bought this one as her second. Because her first was a Black&Decker broke down on her.
THANKS

Definetely update us! I use Champion now, but ordered Omega 8006, because Champion is not good with greens unless you want to go through 2 step process. They got so many orders though, that I don't know, if it will come by the end of my juice fast.
New things for me that I juiced are ashparagus, watermelon with rind, tomatoes(I just juiced them, because they would have went bad, but now I am hooked), broccoli and cauliflower, grapes. I juice mostly veggies-cheaper and I love them, but I also juice a lot of grapefruit, because I do it with plastic handheld juicer - for quick juice.

So today starts my first juicefast.Hopefully this will aid in my healing & God's food is the best food
After posting this thread the first time A good friend of mine who regularly juices went grocery shopping...
And we shared our favorites on produce & then we started on juicing and she said you really cant mess up. If your juicing something that tastes a little bitter add lemon or an apple
Tonight i juiced for tomorrow some apples & grapes juice, carrots& celery with lemon juice, tomatoes & cucumbers with lemon juice...they all taste great..yummm
