Hope it is okay to post this here :)

I want to buy a 25lb case of raw organic walnuts. I checked out NutsOnline.com (saw it mentioned in a post here), plus on Google I found BuyOrganicNuts.com. The latter would be about $20 cheaper (shipping included) so I wanted to see if anyone else had used them. If not, I'll probably go to the first place.

Thanks!

I would ask both places how the walnuts are dried. Most use propane at higher temps....

Yikes, I didn't know that! Thanks for the head's up. I'll shoot them both an email.

Oh, i am not aware the nuts are not dry and need to be processed with heat.

with shell or without shell ?

Hi Vrindavan ~

they don't need to be processed with heat, but often are. At what point it is done depends on the farmer. Usually with shells on.

Good news! Here is the answer:

"The walnuts are dried in the shell in the orchard. They are not heat treated in any way."
