It hasn't opened in my city yet. But one of the local radio DJ's was talking about as he had been given an advance copy to review. This is a steak and potatoes sort of guy, although he does try to eat "healthy" SAD, i.e., lots of fruits, veggies, fish and chicken.

He raved about it and how eye opening it was. It was enough to make him cancel his membership at Sams, for some reason.

I don't think I'll get DH to go with me, so it may be a date with myself.

Oh yes, I definitely want to see this!

I saw the trailer and it looks great.

There's another movie out you might like, it's called Home, the whole movie is below:

Food Inc. Looks like a good one. I just watched "Eating," and "The cure for cancer is within you." They were both very important documentaries. The information covered went into the history of the AMA and American Cancer Society, FDA, etc.. I was taken back by how much water is used to raise animals for consumption and how much land. The meat is also subsidized and that is why it is cheap. If it weren't it would cost something like $90/lb. The Docs also included testimonies of people who cured themselves of cancer just by changing their diet to vegan. Raw Fooder Brenda Cobb was one of them.

good movie! It really opens our eyes. like An Inconvienant Truth. I wish they could show these types of movies on TV all the time and that people would chose to watch them instead of reality TV or some other crap. If everyone in the world started living more responsibily we could make such a change.

I liked (or rather, felt informed, horrified, and disgusted by) EARTHLINGS - it was very emotionally powerful... could have had a bigger helping of facts/evidence, but I thought the message came across well.

Sadly, they'll never be shown on TV because just look at all the commercials that air on television. They are mostly for junk food, diet aids and drugs ("Ask your doctor if you need........", then the list of side effects a mile long and spoken so fast you have no idea what the heck they're saying). It's so obvious that these big pharmaceutical companies run the show. It's sad.
