Hi everyone -
I just got back from the Raw Spirit festival in Santa Barbara. It was a wonderful experience! It was at a large campground, different from the last few years which were at the Radisson in Sedona, Arizona. This had a very peaceful feel and a sense of community. Some really interesting speakers, too.
Did anyone else attend?

I think I was wishing I was just there and not working it. It's the only festival I actually go to and want to spend the whole time there listening to the speakers (although, many are JUST there to upsell, not give information as they use to). I kept shutting my booth down so I could wander.
Oh! And the food! It was GREAT they had a "farmers' market" which had the BEST avos (went from $3.50-$4/# during the fest to $2/# at the end. Needless to say, I picked up a few) and another stand up in the food area with fresh greens so one had choices of making their own food or buying the very high priced meals from the restaurants. I did the high priced things for the most part although, I could NOT get myself to pay $10 for the "I AM COOL" shake from Cafe Gratitude no matter how much I liked it.
And you? What was your impression?
(More on my blog here, later)

LOL Well, all I know is, it was green, minty and really COOL! Some friends kept bringing me sips of the stuff as well as their truffles which are SO good! I don't think there were/was (?) any greens as in veggies in it except for maybe mint? It was like a chocolate chip/mint shake.

Yes it was great fun and it was so nice to meet you Revvell! The speakers were very interesting as well as the people and vendors who were also there. I was struck with the atmosphere of kindness and positive energy that I don't always feel in the everyday world.
I took advantage of a few of the high priced meals (10.00 for most salads, 12.00 for other stuff) since I would have little opportunity otherwise to sample gourmet unless I made it myself (but I thought the 2.00 coconuts which they gave you a straw to drink with and return to have cracked open was pretty cool). And I loved Jamath's unlimited free Vitamineral Green and other superfood drinks- having those midafternoon actually satiated me through dinner and on till the next morning.
There is also another raw expo coming up in Santa Rosa in July and then the Living Light in Ft. Bragg in August- anyone going to those?

Oops, missed it. And it was so close to me. Oh, well, maybe next year.
I am hoping to go to the Arizona one in September. I've never been to the Raw Spirit Festival, so this should be a real treat.

I might be attending the Living Light expo in August. I will be at Living Light all of July taking the Associate Chef/Teacher course. Alternatively, I will come home to the Bay Area after the course and then return in August.

It was my pleasure. Thank you for stopping by and introducing yourself. You're much prettier and certainly more lively than your picture. :)

I was there : )
It was so nice to be around concious people and actually have people smiling at you. Definately feel good vibes. I also enjoyed meeting you Revell and thanks for the dvd's you sell. I just finished them and now on a mission to make them available in my office.
I have some footage of the event and when I figure out how to convert it I will post it somewhere you can all see. Here are a few pics I took.
