Ok, I've only been exercising since Monday :o and I feel good once I get going and have it done. But, today I got on earlier than I did yesterday and started off my day with some exercise and can't wait to do more.
Hoping to get 3 times of exercise in today.
Is this normal?! Does your body start to crave it?!

Yes, but be sure to take it slow and not over do. Three times a days sounds a little to much. Your muscles need time to recup. They need at least 24 hours.

Flutterfly is definitely right. The key in the beginning especially is to be consistent and keep doing your workouts. You can sabatoge yourself by over-doing it (I can tell you by years of personal experience in that area!). The fact that your body seems to be craving it says you are doing the right amount of exercise....just enough to get a sweat and to want more. My advice to you is to give yourself some rest time and don't overdo it!!
Peace.

:) I guess I should have said what I was doing! I'm only jumping on the rebounder and only make it to 10 minutes each session.
Don't know how true this is, but they say that 10 minutes of jumping on the rebounder is like 30 minutes of jogging.
So, knowing what type of exercise I'm doing, do you think I could still overdo it, making it to only 10 minutes each session?!
Thanks

If you ever go and do the 30 minutes of jogging, you will definitely find it much tougher than the 10 minutes on the rebounder. No, I don't think 10 minutes 3 times per day is over-doing it....Do you get a good walk in?

No, still struggling with getting out for those walks! I think eventually I will get to that point. I think here very soon in fact!
Thanks and I'm gonna try and get the motivation up to go walking!

I find that getting started is the hardest part. Once you start the walk (for me it's a run, swim, or bike), you feel great and are so happy with yourself for getting off your bum. Here's a trick that always helps to get me out the door: I say to myself, "okay, you only have to run for 10 minutes, then you can turn around and come back." And 10 minutes doesn't really sound like long at all! But the truth is, once I get out there, the 10 minutes fly by because I'm feeling so good, and I end up running my full workout (30-40 min).
So, maybe try telling yourself that you are going to walk for 5 min, and then you can turn around and come back. If you're feeling great after 5 min and want to keep going, do it! But if you want to go home, turn around and walk home. Then at the very least you've walked for 10 min and achieved the small goal you set for yourself. And then do it again tomorrow!
Hope that helps -- it works like a charm for me!!

I play that exact game with myself every morning Kris. I have to take the dogs for a walk, so when I don't feel like walking, I plan just to go to the wash and let them play then come back. When I get to the wash, I say, well, let's do the short 1/4 walk. By the time I get there I have forgotten and am headed out for my hour long walk. In truth it is the getting out there that is the hardest.
As I was starting my exercise program, I too craved more and more and pushed myself to exhaustion. Now I'm getting in more of a routine, enjoying what I'm doing and saving the pushing for harder not longer.
I'd say enjoy that rebounder as much as you want and when you start craving more move into other forms of exercise, especially ones that will take you outdoors.

Sometimes getting started is a mind game. For me, if I run, I tell myself to go one mile. If I'm still tired, then I'll do something else; but usually I'm at a nice pace by then and just keep going.
Exercise is addictive! But don't get burned out. It's easy to do. Take at least one day off each week to rest.

Carlene, thank you so much for your words! I just know that me jumping on the rebounder 20-30 minutes each day is sooo much better than what I was doing before. Nothing at all. Sitting on my behind all day watching it just get bigger :D
Anyways, I have continued to jump and pushing myself past the 10 minute mark each time I get on and jump.
I KNOW that needing to do more or different exercise will come in time.
For now, I am really satisfied with the progress that I've made so far.
I have to take baby steps and I know the more I exercise on the rebounder, will lead to more and different types of exercise.
Pam :)
