Hello all! I'm very new to raw eating, but very excited about it! I was struggling terribly with my diet, then joined a 30 day green smoothie challenge about 7 weeks ago. I'd never thought about eating raw before that, but I was instantly hooked on the green smoothies and found myself looking on the internet for all things green smoothie! Naturally, I started reading a lot about raw lifestyle as well. I haven't been this excited about anything in a long time.
Eating right is a huge challenge for me. I love food, and really am pretty addicted to it, especially if it's bad for me. I have emotional ties to my favorite foods. Even when I stop craving something, my subconscious keeps popping it into my head. I find myself "mourning" my unhealthy foods.
I'm getting into raw somewhat gradually and it's going very well. I still have a quart of green smoothie for breakfast and throughout the morning. I eat lettuce wraps for lunch and snacks throughout the day. Dinner is my next obstacle. My fiance is very supportive, drinks the smoothies, but likes a good cooked meal for dinner. I'm usually craving cooked food by that time also. I think I'll get past it, though. I always have to do things in steps. I'm so impressed with those of you who are able to go 100% raw overnight!
Anyway, I love reading this board and realize that I need a little support to continue on this journey. Nice to meet you all!
