I'm trying to pare down my kitchen stuff to the bare minimum, as we're moving into an RV for the next 5 years or so. I've talked hubby into the vita mix, the food processor, the dehydrator (I told him I'd put it in the oven, since I won't be using that much, although I'm not truly sure it will fit, LOL!), and my little juicer. I have my big stand mixer on the other side of the kitchen, and just realized that I haven't used it in forever, even before I got back into raw. Is there anything that a raw foodist would need a big stand mixer for, or should I pack it for the mini-storage?

Thanks!

Tracey

Hi Tracey ~ It will be intersting to see if folks here use their stand mixer.

I finally took mine down to the basement because I just wasn't using it for anything...

Good luck with moving into the RV - we've got a 5th wheel and I *love* RVing in the beautiful Pacific NW! Does it get any better?? *Ü*

I'd pack it up. It is something you would not use everyday or even far and inbetween. Everything's covered with the Vita-Mix, Food Processor, Dehydrator and the Juicer......

?sell it on ebay or craigs list and use the money to buy more raw appliances?

I have one and will be selling it, my food processor also came with a whisk attachment that turns it into a stand mixer/whipper and I haven't used it much, only a few times for "whipped" avocado based "cheese" but it doesn't really get whipped, I think the S blade would give the same result, but for something that is whippable it would work, I just don't know of much or any whippable raw things, perhaps rich coconut milk/cream with maybe agar to help it hold?

Okay, into storage it will go. It took me many years to talk my way into a big-name stand mixer, so I can't part with it just yet, but I will send it to the storage unit! THANKS!
