Cut finger tip

The cut went partially through the finger tip nail. Any tips of how to make sure the nail heals properly?

Would use coconut oil!!!

I can see how that could help with the cut healing, maybe scar prevention. but will it help the nail grow/repair? supposedly the rest of the nail will grow, but this area will be hard to grow out properly. at least thats what i was told.

Oh so sorry, that must be painful. No good advice for you. Perhaps, you can try to google for natural remedy etc... If you know someone that work with healing energy such Reiki, i find that very useful to help to promote healing or well being.

Sounds like you need a Few Stitches from a M.D.,you might also loose the Nail or always have trouble with it.

Thanks. I did google it and found nothing useful, that's why I came on here. The person who helped me said they wouldn't do stitches for this type of injury/

I cut my fingernail completely off 3/4 of the way up the nail bed once a long time ago and it grew back just fine. I can't imagine you'll have a problem.

I had half my nail ripped off once (makes me sick to even think back to that, even though it happened about 20 years ago). It was extremely painful for quite a long time, but grew back without any problems.
