I was wondering if eating fats on a raw food diet is necessary? I've found that I prefer to eat greens and fruits over nuts and such. I also am not a fan of avacados. Would it be harmful to my health to not include any fats?

Listen to your body. You will find that your needs/wants with raw food will continually shift and change, in answer to what your body needs...
Today you may not want any avocados or nuts, but tomorrow you may. ;) So today, don't eat them - and tomorrow? Eat them. ;)
It truly IS that simple...
Have you read Alissa's book, LIVING ON LIVE FOOD? She goes into that concept with much more detail.

Yes, you will need some oils and nitrogen in your diet. Fruits and greens are not sufficient, in the long run. Hopefully, your appetites will change. Most of the people on this forum, myself included, love nuts and avocados. When I say oils I don't mean the kinds that come in bottles.
Our bodies still need Essential Fatty Acids, as that is needed for skin, brain, and heart health. I'm not sure the minimum amounts, but still some is needed.

I don't think it's a big deal enough to worry too much about it...
Your body will most likely begin to want more natural fats over time, it's better than forcing yourself to down a bunch of nuts and avocado when it's not what you desire.
If it's an immediate concern, or if you feel you need a good source of concentrated calories from fat then you could be creative with sneaking them into food. Try blending some avocado with a thick berry smoothie or simply taking a tablespoon of olive or coconut oil.
You'll probably acquire a taste for more nuts and seeds over time, I feel sluggish if I eat too much fat anyway! :D

I think like this:
In the wild we would not eat oils because that does not come from "NATURE". RAW to me is "Truely" eating from "Nature" the way it comes in it's natural state. So, that would be primarily "Fruits and Veggies".
Just my thoughts on it.
I'm finding for me that a Low-Fat diet leaves me feeling good and energetic!

Anthropoid apes eat seeds for nitrogen. Sometimes they eat the seeds and discard the fruit.

IMO the best fats come from whole food avocado and whole food young coconut. Try not to get your fat from bottles if you can. In my experience nuts are not necessary. I eat some of the seeds that come inside the foods I eat. Good luck.

In "Nature" would we eat seeds? I guess if we could crack them open easily and of course the seeds of fruits. I always eat the seeds in most of the fruits I eat. :)

In our natural habitat (the tropes) there are much more fatty fruits than we have access to, here. I think fats are important. I notice that I get rough skin when I don't eat enough of them.

Of course the body needs some "Fats" but, we need more "Carbs" for energy and "Protein" for muscle strength along with other things. But, "Carbs" is our primary source for energy. ALL Fruits and Vegetables have some Fat and Protein in them. :)

Anthropoid apes have similar digestive systems to us. They thrive on fruits and nuts. If they cannot get nuts they will eat the seeds of fruits. According to Dr. Emmet Densmore, "Mr. Wallace reports that in some instances these animals eat only the small seeds of a large fruit, wasting and destroying the fruit itself.....The small seeds contained in these sweet fruits are largely nitrogenous, undoubtedly oily, and the nearest approach to nuts within their ability to procure." If they can't get nuts or seeds, they will eat insects.
