I've been raw for just over a month now and I'm really amazed with the differences I'm feeling. I used to eat the typical bad north american diet even though in my head I knew much better.
Then I listened to a radio show ion the CBC with a raw food "guru' [can't remember the name] and that got me thinking about it, but I didn't switch over at all. Then believe it or not I saw Carol Alt on TSC peddling her raw skin care product line. Well I'm a sucker for any of that stuff and bought it up right away. Funny, but that seemed to be the catalyst for my change. I went raw almost immediately and cold turkey. I have since returned the skin care products because they just didn't live up to my expectations but I received something so much better in return. The true secret to feeling better, and as a bonus I'm starting to look better. I can see noticeable differences in my skin, my teeth, my nails and even my weight. Who knew... "beauty doesn't come in a jar, it's in the produce section at your nearest grocery store"
I am not 100% raw. I do indulge in a coffee [large double double thank you] once per week and I have had a some grilled salmon a couple times.
Here's to a long road of healthy raw living.:)
