Hi Everyone!

My name is Bonnie, and I'm 26 (until the end of this month). I'm originally from Idaho, and I went to school in California, but I just moved to the Washington, DC area (Reston, Virginia to be exact) in August 2008. I'm completely new to the raw vegan lifestyle (I'm still in transition as I try to learn as much as I can), and I'm very excited about it. I can't wait to reap all the benefits I've read and heard so much about!

Hi Bonnie!

I live in DC.

There is a VERY active raw vegan Meetup group you should definitely check out:

Tons of activities with this group, many of which are in the Reston area.

Java Green in downtown DC has some raw food entrees and prepared raw foods you can buy:

There is a little cafe not far from where I live in DC that has some raw food. It doesn't have a website. The place is called 'Senbeb':

I'd call ahead before going all the way out there from Reston--you wouldn't want to find out that the raw stuff is sold out or not ready yet. There have been a couple of meetups at Senbeb; the chef there, Khepra Anu, is a great guy.
