View Full Version : Gradually going green
I have been dealing with Body Odor really bad for about 6 years. I've been adding things to my diet for the past 6 months or so to alkalize diet like lemon juice in my tea. I drink a small cup of Apple Cider Vinegar a day. I eat rosemary herbs and Cloves though out the day. I drink about 72 oz of green or black Tea a day.
I started eating more salads and not so much meats. I cant really afford to eat as Raw, I been eating canned asparagus because I can afford it Raw.
I eat at the least one tablespoon of Honey & cinnamon
I'm trying to find a job but I want deal with my BO first.
I just recently added Chlorella to my diet 2 weeks ago 16 grams a day, Im hoping it will drastically alkalize by diet & the Chlorophyll will eliminate the BO.
I hear of so many benefits of Chlorella so I have a two week supply.
Check out the Chlorella thread i posted in http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?p=532037&posted=1#post532037 :D

What do you Smell like? Have you been to a Dr? If you say you can't afford to go, there's a Clinic you can go to. I have not heard of a B O that can't be gotton rid of unless it's internal.
You mention Tea, what about Water? Tea is liquid but there is Nothing better than Plain Water to keep the Body Flushed. I use Deoderant about once a Month. I also take Chlorella but not for that reason. It's the only thing I've found to regulate My Hormones. Things were SO BAD for me I was ready to take Premarin. I tried Maca but it did not work for me.
If you can afford to eat........You can afford RAW. You can Buy SEEDS and eat Sprouts. IF you can afford to buy DEAD ROTTEN meat.........You can afford to Go RAW. But in the end..........you can do as you Please, I just want you to BE WELL.
I wish you everything you need to Stay RAW..........Welcome to MY World.

Yeah Ive been to the Dr & he gave me drysol & Blood pressure pills to stop sweat glands. I decided to stay away from prescription pills.
Most BO is internal thats why Ive been trying to alkalize my insides.
I bought magnesium oxide to aid the zinc pills I am taking so Im adding a few more supplements to my diet to help the chlorella.
Im noticing more energy
I bought Morton Lite Salt for the potassium content as well as sea salt for the magnesium to control electrolyte imbalance.
hopefully this will repair nerve cells, & correct the metabolic process in my body

Doing it gradually is smart so that you don't feel overwhelmed. I agree with spicyfull about being able to afford raw. My roommates always say they wish they could afford to eat more fruits and vegetables but they are too expensive yet my monthly grocery bill is less than theirs and that is all I eat! (plus sprouts, etc..you know what I mean...) When you put your health first and use the money you may normally use for meat or chips or eating out or what have you towards fresh produce, sprouts, and raw grains the benefits will show and the grocery bill will even out :)

I used to think eating raw was much more expensive than eating SAD - I think that's true if you make a lot of recipes which require fancy ingredients. But I've noticed since I've gotten the hang of eating (mostly) raw and now eat very simply the cost is cheaper than eating SAD. I have two to three very simple recipes that I rotate on a regular basis, now that I know what I like. Occasionally I will try a new one, but mainly I stick with simple salads, smoothies, nuts and whole fruits and veggies. So I think it is possible to eat raw on the cheap, esp. like the poster above says, if you get into sprouting, as well as buy your produce at cheaper places like farmer's markets.
Also, as far as body odor goes, mine has diminished quite a bit since I've been eating this way - I still use deoderant but I don't need much any more. Most raw foodists experience this after a little while.

Well im now near as raw as I should be, I eat Raw almonds everyday some fruits & some veggies I the only one in my house that is trying eat raw , We have meat all through the fridge.
i need a job so I can buy my own food
If you have body odor, you want to avoid the following: garlic, onions, chilis, meat, dairy, asparagus, and alcohol. These all make body odor worse.
Instead eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. If you eat almost all raw, you will notice a dramatic change within 2 weeks.

I cant really afford to eat as Raw
I can't afford to waste my money on dead food. I want live, usable nutrients for my food money not dead foods that are just throwing money away on nutrientless food that leave you sick and tired.
true, but I live with to other people & the eat dead food, He get our food by food stamps.
I need a job so I can pay for my own diet

I used to have really awful body odor.
I think some of it was stress... Stress acidifies the body. What you think, the stuff you take in, mentally, has an effect on the body.
The rest of it was dead stuff. When I became a vegetarian, a lot of the BO went away. As I dropped my stress levels, the rest of it went away (and, we eat a LOT of onions and garlic! You can't really smell it on me, either, as I no longer have the blocked detox channels, nor the stress, that I used to have). I think dairy had a lot to do with it, too. I got completely off dairy, and the rest of my BO vanished. (I know, because I check in with my DH on a regular basis regarding how I smell... I still get a little insecure not using deodorant! and, he's very honest about such things.)
