Hello, I am new to the raw food diet but several years ago I juice fasted for several months with miraculous results. Sooo having said that, the only way I was able to juice successfully was to make my juice for several days in advance and then freeze it in individual zip loc bags. This time I would like to be able to juice a meal at a time. I am looking at time saving techniques so I was wondering if anyone juices in their blender making a "green smoothie" and then strains the juice. Would their be any downside to this? I know it might be better to drink the green smoothie but I am afraid I might not be able to stomach it. Thanks for any responses- Kathy
Downside is getting rid of a lot of the fiber, which is great for moving the bowels. And frozen juice is not going to be nearly as nutritious as fresh.
But, if it works for you and is only temporary -- GREAT!

I can't imagine that blending and straining would be less work than just juicing!
One thing that helped me during a juice fast was watermelon.
Morning and night I used my juicer, but lunchtime was tough.
I got watermelon, a big bowl and a strainer, and just squeezed the juice out with my hands, lol! Watermelon is likely the only thing that you can do that with.
So watermelon juice was lunch at work!

When I need juice quick - I make grapefruit juice with little hand juicer and then strain it. I dilute this juice with water as I find it too strong. Grapefruit is very good for melting celiulite(do I spell it right?) deposits and getting lymph moving in general.
