My goal for this month is to start P90X - hopefully this weekend.
I am thinking I will start with the "lean" version since I would like to release more weight (they have 3 different workout plans according to your personal goals).
I can't wait to try the yoga X - since I teach yoga - it will be nice to actually "take" a class....
I will still be teaching my 2 yoga classes a week as well. I may also continue with some treadmill walking too.
Monday was a restoration day for me - I just got back from a 4 day yogafit level 4 training Sunday night - very intense & a little bit exhausting!
Yesterday: Taught/did my 1hr yoga class :o

for getting this June fitness thread started! Its such a habit for me to log on line, feels good.
Looking forward to hearing the results of your new goals.
I may have missed a few log ins.. Anyway today , again had some time restraints, I just got in running 2.5 miles in. Still felt good.
I really have to adopt a very early morning workout routine...I know its in me somewhere!:cool:cool:

2 mile walk/run.
I know it sounds stupid but, I'm trying to teach myself to jog. I've wanted to be a runner for the longest time but my body just refuses to cooperate. I always feel so awkward when I run. I'm determined to at least give it a fair shake though. My goal for this summer is to do short jogging bursts whenever I walk and be able to jog 1/2 mile continuously. Again, that probably seem piddly but it's realistic for me and I'm hoping that maybe I'll attain and even surpass it, surprising myself.

Thanks for joining gals! :D
Care4raw : Great job keeping up with your running!
contessa20: That doesn't sound "stupid" at all! I don't know if my body likes to run or not - it gives me mixed signals.... I tried the walk/run thing for a couple months, then my knees hurt & I never got back into it too much.
Good luck to both of you!~monk~

thanks for starting this thread-its inspiring!
I just sprained my ankle so I'm going from doing intense free wt and cardio vids 3X a week to riding my bike outside for 45 min followed by abs and free wts for upper body three days a week and a kundalini yoga dvd the other three days which is all seated work.
When my ankle heals I'll go back to my old routine. But for this challenge, in June, I'll try this new routine.
Also, I'm doing the all raw 30 day challenge too....wish me luck....
and blessings to all of you too!

theresaann: Welcome & good luck! I hope your ankle heals quickly, but on another note - How fun to do a totally different routine - sometimes we need to switch it up. Good luck on your 30day challenge!! (I'm into my 6th month now!!) :D

contessa20: I hope your feeling better today!
This is my "recovery" week it seems - sometimes a break from the norm is nice & needed - even though we may not realize it. I hope to come back more ready than ever!!
Thursday: Taught/did my 60min yoga class - it was a nice sized class with a lot of good energy - very invigorating~:D

Wow - 1/3rd of the month already gone!
This month hasn't been one of my most active....
I started getting a yucky throat on Sat - it came to a peak yesterday & I felt very yucky allllll day - I could barely swallow. I am thinking it's because I've been burning the candle at both ends lately - this will be my 12th day in a row having to work - I am very happy I will have off tomorrow & Sat., but I am also thinking I will cancel my plans so I can get some much needed rest....;)
Anyhow, Tuesday I taught/did my 60min. yoga class
Wed. - Walked on the treadmill - very slowly @ 2.7mph for 50min = 2.22miles
My starting of P90X will probably be more towards the end of June/beginning of July - I really want to be 100% so I don't quit!
You gals/guys are doing great!
Keep it up~monk~

I used to hate the rain- now I embrace it. You have to embrace it completely otherwise it will make your workout hell. If you are going to have to dry off afterwards, you might as well enjoy it.
I've been slacking on cardio- going for a run NOW.

Oh I love, love, LOVE rain. It was coming down by the bucket though and the wind was atrocious. As long as it's not like that outside I'll walk in the rain any day of the week. :D

Congrats to you to Aleesha~:D
I think I'm ready to come back....;)
I just got an IUD last week & I was told to take it easy on any exercise - so I think I took advantage of that and got subs for my yoga classes & nixed the gym all week.....
So, today I went to the gym & walked on the treadmill for 60min = 3.06miles - while reading a new book.....I'm looking forward to getting movement in again - although the p90x will be put on hold for another month - because of it's extreme nature - until I get my IUD checked to make sure everything stayed in place. ;)
