O K, I'll Share. Everything probably has been radiated. I don't know if you can get them Organic or not. I DON'T LIKE PAPAYA........ I know you wanted to know that :). My Fruit of Choice in MANGO.
One way you can get them for Sure is to Grow your own but again I can't help you there. I don't even know if you can grow them in Callie or not. Well I have given your Question a "BUMP", someone else will drop by with an answer you can use. Have a RAW Day.

gm is what you asked about,
Do you have reason to believe that they are GM, We do not allow that in Europe,
If they are Genetically Modified the number on the product label should indicate it.

>> Do you have reason to believe that they are GM,
GM papaya is very widespread than all other fruits
so the queston is
Do you have reason to believe that they are non-GM ?
>> We do not allow that in Europe,
there are still GM food for sale in Europe,
just may be you enjoy "slightly better/accurate" mandatory labeling system
>> If they are Genetically Modified the number on the product label should indicate it.
it depends on where the fruits come from plus where you locate may be. the number stickers are not there for many fruits imported from other countries.

I walked in to a fruit and veg shop in NY a couple of days ago and said to my friend "I think I died and went to heaven" when I saw the papayas.
They were the biggest that I had ever seen and were orange instead of the usual green colour.
I bought some and was so disappointed. They are rubbery in texture and do not taste great. They are obviously bred to look good. It never dawned on me to think that they may be GM but now I think that it is a possibility.
I am buying beautiful fat grapes that have loads os seeds.

>> were orange instead of
any problem here?
i think any papayas are like that color when ripen
the problem is
unlike cross breeding,
GM and non GM version of plants can be exactly the same in appearance
GM and non GM version of animals can be exactly the same in appearance
this is the reason/problem the scientists can push their invention for us to accept without difficulties at all,
we cannot separate them just by my eyes.
lab testing is expensive to individual,
any DIY testing method we can learn ?
