If you get some raw brazil nuts I would freeze them because they go rancid very fast.
I have never specifically used just them for a recipe but I add a couple to recipes using other nuts just to get a boost of selenium.

This is my favorite brazil nut recipe. Once the nuts have been strained from the mylk I add a little sweetener, coconut butter and fruit then dehydrate it for a little cookie-like snack later.

Strawberry Breakfast Mylk

1/2 C. Brazil nuts
1 1/2 C. water (I wanted to use coconut water but didn't have any)
1/4 C. dates
about 2 Tb. blue agave
pinch sea salt
cap full vanilla flavoring (or 1 vanilla bean)
6 frozen strawberries

1. In a high speed blender mix the Brazil Nuts, water and dates until smooth.

2. Strain through cheesecloth or a nut milk bag. Save the meat for use in another recipe.

3. Pour the sweetened Brazil Nut mylk back into the blender and add the sea salt, vanilla and strawberries. Blend until smooth.

4. Drink as is or pour over grawnola.

Makes approximately 16 oz. and is rich enough to be considered a meal substitute.

Ditto on the milk ~ It's my husband's favorite nut for milking.

4 cups water
1 cup Brazil nuts
3-4 dates (soaked, use soak water as part of the 4 cups)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2-1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

I like to blend just the nuts and water, then strain. Put milk back in blender and add rest of ingredients.

*Then use the pulp for this fantastic bread recipe (http://therawchef.blogs.com/russell_james/2006/03/the_best_thing_.html)! (Russell James)
