So here is the thing, I hate thinking about food, preparing food, I really don’t even enjoy the whole sitting down to enjoy food. I’ve always seen eating as something I have to do to stay alive. In the past couple of years I’ve kept the same view but realized that for me eating isn’t about feeding my taste buds but rather fueling the cells of my body with nutrients so that they can function at there best. I’m reminded of the movie the Matrix in which the people eat the same porridge type thing everyday because it has everything the body needs. I would be completely up for eating something like that even if it didn’t taste very good. Since we haven’t quite invited the ultimate porridge I’m trying to find the next best thing.

Imagine for what ever reason you had to eat the simplest diet on a daily basis with all the essential nutrients what would it look like. Simplest meaning the fewest variety of fruits, vegetables, and/or supplements. I know you might not be able to get every nutrient with out some variation but what would come closest to that perfect daily diet? Thanks and I know my thoughts on food might be boring and bland to the majority of people but I really wouldn't want them any other way haha.

Having been raw for awhile, I already eat very simply most of the time.

example:
Smoothie 40-48oz, either all at once or spaced out some (2-3 bananas, greens, sun warrior protein powder, vitamineral green or other green powder, sometimes flax or hemp)

Soup (usually celery and/or cucumber with greens & couple other ingredients)

Fruit

The rest of the day varies usually with fruit, salad or other things.

It would include a good source of Essential Fatty Acids such as Chia, Hemp or Flax and some blended greens. All the rest is up for grabs.

I agree with Sport. Those are the top 3 fats and also include many other vitamins and minerals.

Thanks everyone,

I’ve been doing research and I wrote out 20 or so Vitamins and Minerals that are considered essential and for each vitamin and mineral I wrote down 4 to 5foods that contain the highest amount of that nutrient. I found foods that came up repeatedly where these: Parsley, Kale, Broccoli, Wheat Germ, Spirulina, Shitake Mushrooms, Red Peppers, and Dandelion Greens.

Other things I would add would be: Flax Seed oil, Avocados, Romaine lettuce, Carrots
I drink a green smoothie formula that has: Wheat Grass, Barely Grass, Spirulina, Chlorella, some Probiotic Strains, and some various other things. I was thinking about adding a complete B-Vitamin Complex supplement to be safe. Are there any major gaps these foods don’t cover?

Yes. A very important one. Pleasure.
Are you going to like those foods. It is not just about the vitamins.

I don’t really care about getting pleasure from food. I just eat to fuel my body so I want to make sure I’m getting all the nutrients I need. What is this Sun Warrior Protein? Is it just a complete protein powder from greens?

I once read an article that said that the majority of women get more pleasure from eating chocolate than kissing their husband. Am I the only one that sees something wrong with that? The only taste that should bring me pleasure is that of my wife’s.

Sun Warrior is Bio-Fermented Raw Sprouted Whole Grain Brown Rice Protein.

I agree about chocolate & kissing. I've enjoyed chocolate like I've enjoyed other food. But really it's no big deal. Now kissing a man I loved, that's the most amazing experience ever and nothing could compete with that other than other things experienced with him.

Very nice hearing a man say that. :)

Keeping it Simple is the Best. Fruit, Vegetables, Nuts and Grains, with these you can Blend, make Salads or just Snack on them all day. How Simple is that?
