Hi! I recently got my certifications as a raw chef, nutritionist, fitness trainer and raw lifestyle coach.

I am currently in the market for a job in this field and was wondering where there is a high demand for raw foodie skills?

I would prefer to stay in the south, southwest, or west coast (i.e... anywhere but up north!). I know Sedona has a fairly thriving raw community, but not sure if they are in need of any more people working in the field.

Any suggestions? Thanks :p

ever considered portland oregon? That might be too far north for what you want, but it's like the new mecca for alternative living. I'm sure a bonafide certifide raw foodist would find work up there, easy.

i agree with Portland, OR
other possibilities...

Ashland, OR
San Francisco, CA
Berkeley, CA
Northern Marin County (CA)
Sonoma County (CA)
Harbin Hot Springs (Middletown, CA)
Santa Cruz, CA
Maui, HI
Big Island, HI
LA/Santa Monica/Venice, CA

The SF bay area has a large concentration of raw foodists and there are more than 10 raw food restaurants to my knowledge. I personally think Santa Monica/Venice is the place to be right now. Well concentrated area and you might find great success there in your endeavors.

Also if you're feeling Sedona, go for it. If you're meant to be there, the opportunities with flow. don't worry about how many raw foodies are there right now. the Universe always has your back. :D

Pretty thriving Vegan community, and nary a raw restaurant in sight! You could be the driving force, the maverick, the agent of change for the whole city! :)

There has been such a huge demand for this training and also a huge demand for more Alissa Cohen teachers in many areas that Alissa has decided to continue to
offer these classes for a limited time.

It is an exciting time for Alissa to be offering these classes. With the addition of new information as well as the addition of the 12 Hour Chef Training class from Grezzo, (from which we have had stellar reviews) these classes are an extremely thorough and intensive learning experience. How about Boulder, CO? I've heard it's a nice area. Is there a decent raw vegan community there?

Seriously -- you can get the word out almost anywhere. You really can. People need this. It's not about being a health nut. It's about enjoying good health.

You might have to look for certain spots to find hard-core health nuts... but you look almost anywhere in the US, and you'll find people who are sick and tired and willing to try something new if you present it in a way that sucks them into the light! ;)
