Although I have been losing weight in recent months (170s down to the 150s), this past month after deciding to go raw I have actually gained some of that weight back. I feel like I'm the only person to go raw and GAIN weight! Anyone else out there have this happen? I don't know how much weight this past month has put on me in pounds because I don't usually weigh myself, but I have noticed a little extra girth in my already girthy tummy. I'm not upset about it, just interested.

...I have been eating nuts and avo and olives like there's no tomorrow. I didn't think about it until just now.

On the plus side, my skin is GORGEOUS! It's soft and glowing and my face looks just...prettier! and I feel super happy and energetic.

So basically, even though I'm expanding a little, I win.:) I'll just up my greens and down my super dense foods, and I'll be golden! right? right.

What a beautiful attitude. It's heartwarming to read. :)
And yes: right!

Hi Kidkid....

I would like to propose that the "girth" might be fiber...also, is there anything wrong with girth? You sound healthy and beautiful!

It adds bulk. It isn't fat gain.

Maybe everyone is different. I ate what i wanted and plenty of food, i didn't do that for losing weight but i did lost the extra pound i had. I lost weight the first year so much that i went underweight, then it went back up to a normal weight.

Sometime you may think you don't loose any but you do. Our body rejuvenate all the time, replacing organs etc... water retension, muscle mass gaining and also, the body will fix the most priority before get ride of extra fat.

Focus on your health always and make the choice that make you feel great. I find at first, we need to focus on our mind. Meaning eat what we want so we can convince the mind that this way of life is easy and confortable.

If eating nuts helps you to desire this food, go for it. Just focus on your well being. I understand how badly people so wish to look great but who cares, our body will get there in time while we focus on our health. If we get obsess with the weight, sadly it cans lead us to bad habbit again.

Congratulations for doing raw food

This is a very good point!

Raw Angel Mom, I agree with everything you said, it made a lot of sense. Thank you! and TaupeRawMan, I don't believe anything is wrong with girth! It's often gorgeous on people! There's nothing like an abundance of rich, soft, radiant skin to make someone more beautiful, I think. Any weight concerns I have stem from the fact that I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), and currently don't have any periods whatsoever (plus a hole laundry load of other symptoms that I'd like to heal), and in PCOS circles it's widely thought that weight loss is a key factor in regaining balance.

But I know I must be on the right track because I just FEEL SO GOOD. And THAT is what really matters. The rest, I believe, will follow.
