Hi
After posting my intro, I am going to take the advice of one of the responders & not try the 30 day challenge as I am not even close to 100% raw. So, my plan right now is to incorporate as many raw foods into my 3 meals & snacks per day as I can!

I am attempting to wean myself off of that giant cup o'Joe that I have every AM. Yesterday I just went without (by accident really) & felt like I got hit by a truck - a truck of bad attitude & fatigue. It made the day long & horrible (especially with the constant whining from my 3 1/2 yr old & 5 yr old who were exhausted!). So, I think I will just start to shrink my cup slowly so I don't turn into a complete ogre. I love making those green juices in the AM. So many people have told me that I look so "good" (skin, etc..)- they want to know what I am doing different; which is nice. It's a reaffirmation of what I am doing & I haven't even made those huge changes yet - just little ones!

I also struggle with breakfast because I find myself STARVING a couple hours or sometimes sooner, after breakfast. I started eating organic oats (cooked) with some banana or raisins in it to try to get something that stuck with me. Today I cut up a whole bunch of pineapple, cantaloupe & watermelon to snack on but I can't really take that with me if I am going out (unless I bring a cooler & fork).... I also have a homemade trail mix of pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, raisins, cashews and sometimes cranberries to take with me. I can't do any tree nuts - I've been allergic since I was a kid. I've heard that may change but am doubtful only because this is the way it's always been!

So, I will work on breakfast & snacks for now. Lunch & dinner aren't really a struggle for me currently.

Good luck! Green Smoothies in large amounts are the best thing to have for breakfast. I usually do 40-48 oz. Can add fats to make it even more filling.

I do at least 64 oz of smoothies each morning that I work. It tides me over till lunchtime EVERYDAY from the very first time I tried it.... I just take it in two camelbacks. One goes inthe fridge till the other is finished. Then I just grab the second one and go. Do you have a back pack that you can use? Throw some whole fruit in there and munch as you go.

My experience with caffine is this... for the last year, I started each work shift with a 24 ounce cup of coffe and a 24 ounce diet coke. I chose to simply stop drinking it cold turkey and deal with the consequences. The headaches will subside in a few days especially because I was chugging GS's in place of the coffee. Mommy can be crabby for a few days right?

Good luck though and hang in there! You will figure out what works for you soon enough.

Here is another vote for green smoothies. I have between 32 and 48 oz. of green smoothie every morning, and it keeps me going for hours. A green smoothie gives you a lot of energy, a much better kick to get you going than caffeine. The only thing you may have to battle is a caffeine withdrawal headache, but that, too, shall pass.:):):)

Put all the things you cut up in a Cooler, put it in the Car with a Fork and when you get hungry.........Stop and eat it. Sure sounds like you know what to do. So here's My Cheer............YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
