View Full Version : Heart Palps and raw food

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had heart palpatations dissipate when eating raw?
Mine have seemed to increased some since eating mostly raw the past week and a half, however when I did antibiotics for my lyme disease this past march (and then stopped them because the heart skipping was scary) the same thing happened.
2 days ago I had about a 10 second skipping thing, today I just keep getting adrenaline rushes (probably PVC's) every so often.
I had a cardiac ECHO done last month, but they didn't get every measurement due to 'patient's size' the tech said I was too skinny. After having this undiganosed for 12 years and knowing Lyme can affect the heart, it just scares me a little. I did have a 24 hour holter monitor which showed 15 PAC and PVC's and one episode of atrial run that was short, but if lasting was 186 bmp.
However, eating raw is the best, right? So possibly getting more heart palps is clearing of toxins, maybe immune system is getting fired up again?
This disease really sucks, but since it took my late teens and entire 20's away, I'm ready to say bye bye to it. I just really really hate the heart stuff. Good thing is that I haven't had any tachycardia lately (that happened on antibiotics too).
take care,

Raw will not harm you in any way. It may heal or at least reduce symptoms of disease. Perfect health requires more than just food, but raw is a perfect start towards better health. My heart does some weird stops and starts at times, but I decided not to worry about it any more. So far I'm still alive...and RAW!

Try Coughing when this happens and see if it slows it down.

Cacao can cause heart palpitations.

I was going to mention the cacao also. Are you eating it?

Thanks guys! I'm wondering if this heart stuff (had none today) was due to a flare up. Last Sat and Sun my legs and feet got really really sore (happens every 28 days usually), felt depressed and had some headaches.
No I'm not eating cocao....sounds yummy though!
I have been able to stop it with coughing a few times, but sometimes it doesn't work. I know that vagal response should make it quit, but it doesn't always unfortunately for me. I think I'm going to have to just start treatment very soon and get the bacteria out of my heart. A lot of people with Lyme have told me that their heart stops messing up once they get treated.
I'm starting with a good brand of colloidal silver (Utopia Silver) that just came in the mail today. If this doesn't work along with raw diet, I can always go back to the antibiotics I guess! I really want to do it as naturally as possible, sometimes the drug effects can really hurt a person.
Sorry I didn't even think about the heart stuff as maybe being connected to my flare up over the weekend! I'm just glad I had no noticeable anything today!! That's a relief =)
Good night everyone :)

Mine got MUCH better after a while on raw. However as mentioned if I eat cacao they get pretty bad again until it's out of my system. Raw certainly won't make them worse, otherwise :) Good luck!

Thanks Rawkin!
I'm glad to hear that your heart palps got better on raw. I had none yesterday and none today! Wahoo! I have gone days without them not being raw, but I actually felt OK today, cleaned by kitchen with energy to spare (that has wiped me out before for a few days!).
I am really looking forward to doing 100% in June, I think I'm about to make a lot of progress and start to really come into land of the living again =)

I'm so glad that your feeling better, Ocean. I have (or had?) SVT (supraventricular tachicardia) which is random heart palpitations and the doctor said that it was incurable without surgery. Well, I was diagnosed when I was 13, (I'm now 16) and I started raw a year ago. I used to go into svt twice a month, but after I went raw, it started to happen less and less. Now it's been 6 months since the last episode! I'm hoping it won't come back.

Mine have mostly gone away on raw... unless I have high doses of cacao for a few days.
The biggest thing that helps with mine, though, is regular exercise. Doesn't have to be strenuous, either - walking 20 mins will do it too, just as long as I'm consistent about it.

I get heart palpation on and off, it's usually an indication to me that I'm either lacking iron, magnesium or potassium. I either up my diet to compensate for these or I take a course of iron and mag. I do believe that we all lack magnesium when we are on a sad diet and so if you are just starting out it does take a while to up that magnesium. I understand how you feel they are horrible. I've been finding that if I exercise a lot I get them which to me is telling me my mag is a bit low. Or after my monthly I get the odd one or two which is the iron so try and up my greens. No matter what you are doing your body a huge favor by going raw it can only help your heart.

Hi Jazmyn,
Wow, I bet that was scary for you being so young and having heart issues!
6 months without SVT is amazing! I've had episodes where I wonder if I went into SVT, but they don't last 2 long, but my heart goes so fast I can't count it and I feel like I can't breathe. This generally has only happened if I was bending over or squatting down.
Good for you!!!!
Curleygirl,
I need to start exercising. I had a panic attack back in 2003 during a jog and have hardly exercised since. The thought of inducing a higher heart rate still scares me. I need to try. I will walk though if I'm not too tired, which is better than nothing! Thanks for the tip!
Patch,
You are right on I think with the body lacking a mineral. Since learning about Lyme Disease, I discovered that the bacteria uses Magnesium to replicate, so it depletes the body of magnesium (most bacteria use Iron, but not this one!).
I've been craving salads like you wouldn't believe (I had 3 one day and they were all pretty big), trying to eat a lot of sunflower seeds, those are high in magnesium too!
I'm sorry that you have also had these, they are no fun at all!
My heart has stayed pretty good this week even after doing this alternative treatment that kills the bacteria with a frequency, I was very tired later and had headaches/neckaches, but since the laser was directed near my heart I figured my heart would act up and it didn't!!
Thanks everyone for your experiences and support, it means a lot!
Take care,
Ocean
