Last year I got a refurbished VM 5200 at it came looking BRAND new (the blender pitcher WAS actually new)... I can't say enough about the refurbished VitaMix!!

Why pay $50 more for brand new when what you'll get really IS (practically) new!! It was probably a return, but really it wouldn't have been used more than 30 days since that is their return policy. What came out of the box looked brand new...

Hmm- Re-reading this note-- I better stop now because I sound like a broken record!! ;)

I'll just keep gushing about my refurbished 5000 for $299 with full warranty, the book, dvd, pusher, etc. and free shipping. You just can't beat that, IMHO.

You can get a refurbished one at a great price, then get a small container to go with it. Mine is about 12 years old and I purchased the small one separately when they came out.
