Well, I fell off the wagon. I have lots of excuses but those are not important. I'm gone for now but not forever. Will be back in for June, Lord willing! :) I hope you are all doing well!
God Bless!

Hello,

What a day!
The good news is: I had my laptop repaired so I can write here again. The bad news is: I feel wrecked and tired because I was rushing through town the whole day. And the excellent news is: I got my parcel from tropical fruits!!!! :)
Here in Europe, we normally don't get really fresh tree-ripened fruits. Because it takes weeks to transport them by ship, they are harvested unripe and after-ripepened on the journey. Tropical Fruits delivers tree ripened fruits by airplain. They are devine, but the prices are accrodingly.
I got bananas, mangos (I would not have immagined that mangos can be so tasty), gigantic papayas, sweet apples and dragon fruits. I ordered them because my boyfriend is going to visit me next weekend and we are going to have the most delicious food ever ;-)
But now, I'm going to bed, today was just too much.

After a looooong day at work, I finally got home and ate and am sitting down! Woohoo! Food has been good today, I managed to ignore major burrito cravings which I've been having for days, and then my coworkers all randomly decided to get burritos for lunch and I declined the offer to get one. They looked good but I think I would have puked if I ate a burrito and then ran around all afternoon. My raw lunch was much lighter and easy to digest! Today's menu was:

-green smoothie w/ 2 bananas, frozen mango/strawberries/blueberries, kale. 2 bananas w/ raw cacao powder.
*cleaned dog kennels for 3 hours*
-lara bar, 2 bananas, apple
-2 more bananas at work throughout afternoon, which was another 5 hour long workout, lol
-banana on drive home
-salad w/ baby romaine, half a yellow pepper, large tomato, 1/3 avocado and vinegar

I need to eat something else later to bump up the calories but not sure what yet. I have cherries and apples and bananas...

Day 3 for me! I stayed raw for almost 2 months and then went on vacation and fell off the wagon. I'm home and on the road again. I cant believe how rotten you feel when you start eating cooked food. I felt every ache and pain i haven't had in the last month! Thank God for raw. I started back as if it were the first day of going raw with lots of fruits, veggies and smoothies
B - banana, pear and green smoothie - banana, spinach, hemp seed, pineapple
snack - banana cream pie & green smoothie
lunch - large salad & green smoothie
snack - raw veggie burger with cashew mayo
dinner - 2 more veggie burgers wrapped in cabbage leaves

these burgers are the best. not sure if i can share but I wanted to so let me know if this is forbidden =)

Vegetable burger

• 2 ½ cups walnuts or pecan, soaked 8 hours, drained, and rinsed
• 4 carrots, grated
• 2 zucchini, grated
• 1 small onion, minced
• 2 stalks celery, minced
• ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
• ½ cup minced fresh parsley
• ¼ cup minced fresh dill
• ¼ cup minced fresh basil
• 1 tsp sea salt
• 2 tsp tamari or 1 Tbsp shoyu
• 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
• ¼ cup golden flax seeds, ground
Process the walnuts, carrots, and zucchini in a food processor. You may need to do this in two or three batches. Mix in the remaining ingredients by hand. Form the mixture into balls and flatten between your hands to make burgers. Dehydrate the burgers on mesh sheets at 105 degrees for 3 hours, then flip them. Continue dehydrating for 3 more hours, or until firm

Cashew mayonnaise
• 1 1/2 cup raw cashews, soaked for 2 hrs
• 1/4 cup water
• 1/4 cup lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon himalaya salt
• 1 teaspoon onion powder
• 1 clove garlic
• 2 Tbsp chives or spring onion, finely chopped
• 2-3 soft dates, pitted
Puree all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Store in a tightly sealed container the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

of course it's ok to finish up here, even if you fell off the wagon!...at least that's what I'm banking on! I've fallen off the wagon a lot this month, but I was always thankful that this forum was here, to give me the boost to just get back on the wagon again. Pitfalls are important learning experiences too! They teach you about your patterns and your cravings. I'm just getting the hang of it day by day:)

today was awesome and beautiful. Went for walks, played in a downpour, and ate delicious food:
1.) Green smoothie with a whole bushel of chard, spinache, ginger and an apple
2.) a collard green sushi sample plate: one roll with avo, leek, ginger, tomato and cayenne pepper -- One with nutritional yeast, avo, salt, pine nuts, and sweet pepper -- one with avo, nori, dulse, olives (not that great, too salty)
3. various snacky snacks (munched on left over ingredients from the day)

I just sliced a banana into coins and put them in the freezer. I LOVE having little tastes of frozen banana on hand. They melt in your mouth!

ALSO! My mom took a bite of my collard wrap and sort of got quiet. And then she said real slowly "I want to eat this kind of food all the time."

SUCCESS!

Thats great, convert her :D

Omg, I have so many yummy fruits around me and have to force myself not to eat them all at once *lol* No, they are for the weekend with my boyfriend :)
I kind of have to start preparing for this weekend, already. I won't be able to shop between saturday and tuesday and I don't want to immagine how much fruits I'll have to buy to provide for two fruit loving gluttons for three days

Today, I started with a melon.

Here i go again with more slices of fruits and veggies, this time i added a nice veggie sandwhich and some nuts and seeds for a kick to break the norm. lol lol. I am consuming water more than ever, which i am glad my body is releasing more toxins, and beginning to feel more energy.
