I made the date nut torte of Alissa's and it is divine! Even my dd loved it and wanted more! Yeah!
When I went to put the base of the date nut torte down on the plate it was pretty warm, well alot warm.
My motor was working overtime. The mixture bogged it down (cheap blender).
Is it still raw since it got so warm?! Sorry for such a funny question! :o

Yeah, the torte will work your equipment and it's normal for it to be slightly warm - even the lady in Alissa's DVD commented that it tasted warm.
It really should be made in a processor, though...so use caution with your blender as that recipe may be a bit much for a blender to handle!
Oh...and yes you're still raw! :D People actually use the blending action of blenders to make warm soups. So long as it was mouth-scorchingly hot...you're good! ;)

Thank you so much for that answer.
I've got a little contest going on with my husband. He said that if I can stay raw for 30 days...so here goes the 30 day challenge, that I will get a food processer!
I am so excited. I need one very bad!
Thanks!

Pam, just a little added information -- as long as you can put your finger in your warmed food comfortably, it's not hot enough to kill the enzymes. A way to safely warm up your soups or chili is by keeping (or frequently dipping) your finger in the mixture as you're heating it in the top of a double boiler.

Well, I wish you great success in your 30 day raw challenge, although if it were me, I'd go out and buy that food processor myself today, so the 30 days would be easier.
There are so many truly wonderful recipes that are so much easier to make in a food processor, than a blender.
We're waiting to hear what you are gonna' make tomorrow.
The Date nut torte is indeed one of the best raw foods in exsistance.
