Can anyone recommend a raw food book that discusses balancing diet for nutritional needs? For example, how much of what should I eat in order to give my body the calcium it needs? I am 39 and I have osteporosis in my family. Although he is a major advocate of raw foods, my husband is concerned that I am not eating enough of the right foods. I know Alissa says to just eat what you want and it will all be fine, but I am ready to start looking into intelligent food combining. I admit, I would like to have a bit of a road map to follow - I'm just that kind of person.
Suggestions?
Thanks.

Calcium = sesamie seeds, or tahini, which is ground up sesamie seeds, or can make sesamie seed milk with a little tahini, water and some sweetener yummy.

I don't have a book recommendation for you at this time but here is an excellent post from a while back about calcium and what foods are rich in it - in addition to what RawPriestess suggested which is great advice as well: http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2181&highlight=calcium
Hi Maraw,
All the books on this North Atlantic page
are great for providing nutritional info,
especially Conscious Eating and Spiritual Nutrition->

Also, the Living Nutrition magazine is the
best way to learn about this lifestyle==>

I've had a subscription for 5 years and it
gets better with every issue!
Another great book is "Eating For Beauty"
by David Wolfe.
Look into the herb horsetail to strengthen bones.
