my fruit is sprouting

I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I have recently started going to a new (to me) produce store. I have had several grapefruits that had sprouting seeds when I opened them. Today I cut into an apple that had sprouting seeds. I have never seen this before.:confused: The fruit looks good and tastes great, so I have no idea what is going on. Any ideas?

Very mature fruit happened to ya. I've never had store bought fruit sprout on me though o.0, lucky.

It's fine :D . Enjoy the fruit! I have an apple tree in my backyard that I grew from a sprouting seed inside an apple.
