Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has a recipe that may emulate fig newtons in the raw??

I bought some (the cooked version) at the store today as a treat for the kids (we aren't all raw yet, I'm starting and then when I get my energy up and cooking skills, the rest will follow!), and they are calling my name. They sound so so good (although so does the pineapple on the counter!).

If you have a recipe or at least an idea for a recipe, please share!

Thanks,
Ocean

Ohhhh!!! Thanks guys, I need to get an Excalibar dehydrator I think. I've wanted one for years, but right now money is really tight. I'll see though!

Take care,
Ocean

This one is my favorite. I've tried it with different types of dried figs, and with fresh figs. It never fails to please everyone who eats it.

Dehydrating is not necessary.

Wow, that one is awesome because you don't have to use a dehydrator!!

Thanks so much... I can totally make this one, but I almost ate all of my dried figs, gonna have to get some more first!

Take care,
Ocean

My son and family love Fig Newtons, so I created a simple and quick (no need for dehydrator) recipe for Raw Fig Newtons and I added to our website VeganExcellence.com (http://VeganExcellence.com)here is a direct lint to the recipe http://www.veganexcellence.com/index.php?option=com_rapidrecipe&page=viewrecipe&recipe_id=4&Itemid=56

Yes rawrawks my website does require that you register to see the recipe. Registrations is free and I don't find registering to be so unusual, especially since both you and I had to register to make this post.
