Thinking about the day I had aired my room with essential oils, forgetting the dehydrater was running. I had some funny tasting food. I love the smell of them but not in my food.

There is definitely a place for these added to food which is cool. I love lavender in food.Whole new way of fixing foods for sure.

Also ,even bigger than this mishap(at the top) is that anything in your room ,during the hours of dehydrating, gets drawn into your dehy and covers your food.

So cat hair has been mentioned. Also any fragrances in the room(glad my house smells green at most times) and dust (say you vacuum while it dehy is running) as well as any other strong stuff.

I run air purifier in room before and during process to make sure flavor of dehy food is what it is...haha

Important it seems to me.

How did you diffuse the essential oils?

It made me think about people hard-core into fermentation. Once they get the spores in a certain area, they're apparently there forever. Weird.

Oh sorry.I have a plug in diffuser. yes much like those mealy moths that used to come in flour...woohooo no more flour. Only fruit flies. Well I guess that is a lil different.

The answer to your question is to Google :The Essential Oil Cookbook.

It's not raw vegan recipes, but cooked vegan, however the recepies are easily converted to raw. It will give you all the information you desire about using GRAS essential oils in your foods, and a lot more information besides.

The name of the author is Menkit Prince.

She has a delicious carob-almondbutter-mint fudge recipe on her website, as well a fantastic recipe for Peach and Lemon Myrtle smoothie (using almond milk, which can be made by you raw at home.)
