I just had the most spectacular raw moment in my life! I'm soooo excited, i just wanna tell everyone:

I had my first RAW CRAVINGS! Yay!!!

I was having tomato soup for dinner, and i thought about my jar of lentil sprouts in the fridge, and sprinkled some one top. Then i just felt this magnetic attraction to the sprout jar, and i kept getting up to the counter and get more, almost like in a trance, until i'd eaten all of them! Yum!

And then (yes, it gets better!) a moment after finishing the sprouts with the sauce, i felt like having something sweet. So i looked in my fridge but didn't feel very attracted to anything. But then my eyes wandered and found....a banana! I felt the same strong magnetic attraction to the banana, perfectly ripe on the counter top... and i ate it, slowly, and i have never had anything like that in my mouth. That banana is THE BEST thing i have ever eaten. I cannot even believe how good it tasted!

Wow, i'm just so thrilled, i feel so great physically and mentally, and i have a feeling that this is only the beginning. Thanks everyone for helping me stay on this great path to helth!!!!

Peace

It only gets better.

It gets better??? Really? Wow. I'd thought the initial joy of being raw would be something I got "used to." It sounds like these cravings are GOOD things which, once satisfied, may be the high a lot of us formerly chased with bingeing/etc.

So much to look forward to . . .

Wow, this does sound exciting. I have lots to look forward to. It will be so nice to crave something other than coffee - although I'm not actually craving it now.

The other day I was craving the no-nut pesto so bad, I could hardly stand it.
Who would have thought blended spinach, lemon, basil, avocado, and celery would cause cravings :D

Hehe, that sounds pretty much like me at the produce section of the store, I go to the stuff that my body leads me too and then get the rest of the stuff I want later. It's a good way to 'self medicate' i.e. get the minerals and nutrients your body knows it needs.

I totally blame green smoothies for this! I've been doing a quart a day for a few days, and these wonderful things are starting to happen! Suddenly the messages i get from my body are much clearer and direct.

Today i did the same thing with watermelon. Went shopping and saw one, and i just HAD to have it! Ate 2 lbs as soon as i got home, delicious!

Watermelon has got to be THE best for sweet tooth cravings, especially in the summertime. When it's cooler I head for the dates. Oh they are good!
