Does anyone else here really, really love foods that are both salty and sweet? I even like to put a little salt on my watermelon  .

Mhmm! I'm dehydrating some salty sweet potato chips as I type! Yummy!

I call it savory and sweet since it doesn't necessarily need to be salty for me. I love mixing the two. Like in a salad.

Mmmm, yum! I think I was born with the salty sweet thing. When I was SAD, I would dip my french fries in my frosty at Wendy's and put cheese on my cookies at Fuddrucker's.

Haha...that is such a SAD thing to do. I think I'll stick with my raw yam chips now!

I can't stand the taste of salt, but I do know a LOT of people who crave the salty + sweet thing. You're not alone!

LOL - that cracks me up!

In israel I used to love watermelon and bulgarian cheese (similar to feta, but saltier) maybe I can use a salty cashew cheese as a substitute... totally forgot about that flavor combination, but it is exciting for sure.

YES! I add salt to all sweet treats, makes them so much more satisfying! Blending sunflower seeds, dates and salt is for me a food-gasmic experience, totally mouth watering.

Big thumbs up for salt+sweet!

Now why didn't I think of using salty cashew cheese?!?! I am Greek and I grew up eating feta cheese with watermelon.

If you had then you might not have posted and then I wouldn't have remembered. :)
