How long does date nut torte keep?

Just wondering how long I can stash the stuff in my fridge before it goes bad. I'm going to make it for the 2nd time and attempt to NOT gobble it all down in 2 days. :-)

The couple of times I've made it.....it hasn't lasted longer than 3 days. Everyone here loves it. lol I'd definitely say 3-4 days, though. It might start getting runny, etc after that.

I once made the torte and kept it on the counter in a glass covered dome. 4 days later, I swear it was wine. :D
In the fridge I am sure 4 days would be about right. I keep it in the fridge now, after that first incident and on the 3rd day it is still yummy. I have never had it around 4 days in the fridge to tell, but if 3 is fine I am sure 4 will be.

I make it and devide it into small containers to freeze. It is just as good as the day I made it.

Oh! Great idea, Flutterfly. I never even thought to freeze part of the recipe for later. That is definitely a better idea than experimenting with how long it will last.

Ooooo. I didn't think about freezing it, either. That's a marvelous idea! :D
