Hello,

I tried sprouting quinoa a while back (it had just a little tail on it when I harvested it)...when I made a tabouli I found that the quinoa was a little too crunchy and I suffered horrible nausea and bloating afterwards.
HOw long do you sprout for and what is the texture of it when you eat it?
Thanks!

Heather

I soak the grain over night. Then I sprout them for 1-2 days, rinsing 2-4 times per day. I let the tail get to about 1/2 an inch, I thiink that's as long as it the tails will get. And yes, they are a bit crunchy. I have never had belly upset from them. Maybe your system doen't like them or you might need to let them spout a bit longer before ingesting.
