or my back problem will not go away. She is setting me up with a pool to excercise in since walking is out of the question until this goes away.

I know this was not supposed to end up being about weight for me, but now it has. The scale said 250 at the doc office before my back problem I went down to 240 on raw....and I back slid because of my "problems". I know raw is the way for me, to feel better and lose the weight, but after my doc said I had to it almost seems impossible.

On top of that I went hyperthyroid this week and now have to not take any thyroid for 3 days, which means my poor family is going to suffer from me and my moods. Which right now is the poor pitiful me routine, and I can't seem to shake it.

I keep seeing about this Master Cleanse? Do any of you think maybe I should start with this first?

Thanks a bunch!
Lisa

I have done the MC several times and am beginning the next cleanse tomorrow.. my main goal is to clear the mind, heart and palate and go 100% raw afterwards. I know I will lose weight going raw directly, but have stumbled painfully a few times in the attempt. I want a clear new beginning for myself.
After my first MC I found my body wanting more and more raw food and it was effortless. I just did not believe it and kept going back to cooked.. almost to prove to myself that I was right.. nope , the body is right.

If you want to read an account of my experience and my friend's experience on the MC you are welcome to come to my Journal page.

I would not recommend starting with the M.C. I believe that just eating raw foods will help you tremendously.

I recommend you telling your family, what you are going to do, so they know not to tempt you with cooked food. If there are other people in the household that have to have cooked food, ask another person to deal with their meals for at least a week, while you splurge on smoothies, salads with everything you want on it, lots and lots of fresh fruit, and try out some new raw recipes! Check out the recipe section for lot of ideas.

Keep coming back to this board for support and to let us know your ups and downs.

Blessings.

I started doing the master cleanse before I went raw. It was my intention to do it for at least a week maybe 10 days. I was surfing the net for information and support with the cleanse when I learned about the raw food diet. This was about day three of my fast and I was frankly already sick of it.

side note: I had done this cleanse/fast before for as long as 14 days in the past.

Anyway when I read about the raw food diet it seemed to me that it would do the same things the cleanse would do and I could at least eat something, in fact I could eat a lot as long as it was raw. I began eating raw that day with was about 105 days ago. As of today I have lost 50lbs and I still tip the scale at 195 at 5' 8". But you know I have no worries about whether or not I will lose more weight as long as I stay raw.

At the beginning I just looked at it like I was doing a fast from cooked food this helped me and it was much easier than doing the Master Cleanse or a juice fast or a water fast.

Anyway that was my experience I hope it is helpful to you.
